Politicians are reminded to give their relatives and friends an advise to act with extreme caution following the controversy surrounding presidential aspirant’s sister and celebrity Kris Aquino’s marriage with cager James Yap. Kris is the youngest sister of Noynoy Aquino, 2010 election presidential candidate.
This unsolicited advice is from Congressman Raymond Palatino in relation to the alleged confrontation of Kris Aquino to a certain Mayen Austria, an avid fan of her husband and Purefoods Team mythical member James Yap.
“This incident is a lesson to all politicians or aspiring to be one, to talk to all relatives, immediate family, to think twice on all their actuations because every move, good or bad, right or wrong, will be totally associated to them as candidates,” said Palatino.
Rep. Palatino also said in that weekly press conference of the minority bloc of the House of Representatives, “as a former presidential daughter, Kris should know that no matter how personal her activities are, it will be somehow associated with her relatives in politics.”
Palatino was referring to a reported incident telling Kris made an unethical scene outside the house of Mayen Austria in a subdivision in Pasig City, several blocks away from Yap’s house. However, in a TV interview, Kris clarified that the scene is not confrontational but a mere “peaceful conversation” with Mayen’s mother regarding Mayen’s “behaviour or actuations” towards her husband James Yap.
Kris Aquino, daughter of the late Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. and late president Corazon Aquino, is an actress-TV host, commercial model, and an award-winning local movie film. She was once played a title role in “Mano Po” movie that won awards in Metro Manila Film Festival.
Kris already moved out of their house together with her two sons – Josh and Baby James – and now staying in her sister Pinky’s house in order for her and James to have a “space” with the hope that this will end in a sweet manner.

“If James has other woman, then it’s but correct for Kris for her to go or let James go. It’s unfair for Kris if she is just the only one doing something for their relationship to work. And if I were Kris, I will do something to cutoff the #@#^?# of James,” remarked by angry Ms. Leen of Makati.
“Don’t judge James yet. Who knows if Kris is too talkative. And that’s basically one of the common problems of couples nowadays – the woman is talking too much. We need to rembember, that James is considered to be a basketball superstar in PBA, and so, he has to give attention to his fans club members,” Mr. Jimmy Larat of Quezon City.

Presidential aspirant’s sister, actress and celebrity Kris Aquino admitted that she went to the house of Mayen Austria, an avid fan of her husband James Yap, but denied that it was a confrontational scene, and no cursing and no commotion happened as reported in the news.
Kris further said in a text message to GMA TV News, that in her 25 years of being in the public eye, she can say that it is in not her nature to utter bad words or create scandals. She also denied shouting or created commotion when she conversed with Mrs. Austria.
On Friday, Kris Aquino already made the statement after a local newspaper (PDI) reported that she insulted and shouted at Mayen Austria and her mother outside their house in a subdivision in Pasig City, a few blocks away from Kris and James’ house.
Kris further explained, “I simply made my discomfort known about her daughter’s actuations towards my husband.” She went on to say that Mayen admitted in the text to having clinical depression and could easily take an “overdose of pills.”
Following the advise of her sisters and brother Noynoy Aquino – 2010 presidential aspirant – Kris will no longer give further comment on the issue.
When contacted by phone by GMA News, Mrs. Austria decided not to add comment anymore so that the issue will not make it any bigger.

Presidential aspirant Noynoy Aquino gave an unsolicited advise to his sister Kris Aquino regarding her souring relationship with her husband Purefoods TJ cager James Yap. Noynoy stated that it’s normal for every relationship to experience differences, and he would want them to settle the score as soon as possible.

Actress-celebrity and TV personality Kris Aquino today said she, together with her two sons – Josh and Baby James – are moving out of the house she is sharing with James Yap, Purefoods cager, in order to have some “space” following the current controversy putting their marriage into jeopardy. They will temporarily stay in her sister Pinky.
In a TV program, The Buzz aired over ABS-CBN Sunday afternoon, Kris, clarified however that their marriage is not yet over, and that she want the marriage to work for their kids. She is not putting a period yet and she’s not saying the end of the road.
Kris Aquino then told the real score of all these controversies: a woman called her husband James on his cellphone and she overheard Austria crying while she was talking.
“When he answered, I heard a girl crying. I could hear their conversation because it was quiet in the house,” she said. James went on to say that Austria was having problems with her love life.
“Sabi ni James nagsabi sa kanya na iniwan daw ng isang guy and ‘di alam ang gagawin.’ I asked James if he knew the guy, he said no. And so I was surprised, I said why she’s calling you and crying out to you? I pointed out to James it was not proper,” she said.
Kris admitted going to Austria’s house, which happened to be a couple of blocks away from house in Valle Verde 2 in Pasig City, but denied insulting and shouting her. “I ever uttered bad words and insults. I just expressed my displeasure,” Kris elaborated.
Kris went on to say that the conversation was not confrontational because she was “very calm” when she talked with Mayen Austria’s mother.
Kris Aquino is appealing to the public not to use this incident as an issue to “politically attack” her brother Noynoy Aquino, a leading presidential aspirant on May 10, 2010 Philippine National Election.
